Smarter Printing in an economic downturn

It is estimated that firms and other organisations in the UK could boost GDP by up to £2,840 million by shifting to more efficient printing practices and net exports by £220 million as more efficient UK companies compete more effectively across the world.

cebr expect economic change of this kind to lead to an investment boost of up to £810 million. The wider environmental consequences of this increase in efficiency are substantial. If companies adopted the most efficient printing processes, resource usage could be reduced by the equivalent of up to 170 thousand tonnes of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) per year.

The productivity benefits would spread throughout the EMEA economy, allowing us to produce more with fewer resources. This will help to raise living standards and business investment while reducing consumer prices. It is forecast that a shift to more efficient printing practices could boost EMEA output by up to $31,900 million per annum as companies become more efficient.
